Everything Pip can do today
Pip reads the schedule you have open in your design software, answers by voice, and works in CAD for you. Anything that writes waits for your confirmation.
Today's skills grew up in underground planning. More departments, from exploration to production, come with skills.
- 5-1 mucking: 695 → 1,390 t/dthe scheduler moves the finish from 24 to 19 Oct

new · Pip inside your CAD
Pip, standing right on your CAD window
A small add-in puts Pip on top of your design software on the PC. Drag it anywhere, click it, and ask. Selections, zooms and layer changes happen on the screen in front of you while you talk.
- Every command your design software's connector offers, found live: layers, entities and attributes, drawing, block model interrogation, scheduler set-up, the leveller, exports. New commands show up by themselves.
- Looking and reading run at once. Anything that changes CAD or the schedule is spelled out first and waits for your yes, and every change is logged.
- The same Pip, chats and skills as on your phone, headset and glasses.
Install it once in your design software's plugin manager. Pip finds your Pip server on the PC by itself.
every command, one Pip
Ask in plain words, Pip finds the command
Pip looks up what your design software's connector can do right now: each command, its settings, and whether it changes anything. Commands added to the connector work the day they arrive, from the phone, the headset or the window in CAD.
- Reading, listing, selecting, zooming and screenshots run at once.
- For anything that changes CAD, the schedule or files, Pip says exactly what it will change and waits for your yes. Your words go into a change log next to the result.
- Long jobs report back as they run; very large results come back trimmed, and Pip asks a narrower question instead of guessing.
ask
Ask the live schedule, the way you'd ask a colleague
Hold the big button, ask, release. Pip queries the schedule you have open right now, not an export from last week.
- Week totals from your schedule report: ore tonnes, stope tonnes, lateral development, drill metres.
- Stopes, activities, rates and the fleet behind them.
- Follow-up questions keep their context: "and the week after?"
- Typing always works too, for the noisy office or the quiet one.
answers
Spoken answers, with the figures on cards
Pip gives you a short spoken answer and puts the numbers on cards you can glance at, so you don't have to remember them.
- Weeks follow your site's convention, so "week 42" matches your schedule report.
- Pip names the stopes and tasks behind a number when you ask why.
Illustrative figures.
change
Proposals you confirm, then Pip checks its own work
Ask for a change and Pip proposes edits on named tasks. Nothing is written until you tap Apply… and then Yes, apply.
- Rate changes (a second bogger, a faster development advance) and quantity changes on production fields.
- Task dates aren't moved directly: Pip changes rates and the scheduler recalculates the finish dates.
- Every edit is checked against the live task before you see it, and read back after it is applied.
- Changes live in the open schedule. Save it to keep them, or close without saving to undo.
- 5-1 mucking: rate 695 → 1,390 t/dsecond bogger; finish moves 24 → 19 Oct
- 6-108 development: rate 4.0 → 4.5 m/dfinish moves 2 days earlier
Illustrative proposal: tap Apply…, then Yes.
see it in CAD
"Where's stope 10?" Pip shows you
Pip selects the stope's solids in CAD, zooms to them and sends a picture to your phone: the stope filled yellow with a white outline, the rest of the view dimmed.
- Drawn with the CAD software's own renderer, so it works with the PC locked, CAD minimised or other windows open.
- Captures CAD only, never the rest of your screen.
- Changes only the CAD selection and view, never the schedule.
drill designs
Stope drill designs, drafted in about ten seconds
Ask Pip to design the drilling for a stope and it drafts a production ring layout with your saved stope-design rules, then shows the hole count, metres, checks and a preview.
- Fans from the ore drive under the stope, a boxhole and rise at the start end, and brow cables between firings.
- Default rules such as 89 mm holes, 2 m burden and 2.2 m toe spacing, changeable per design or saved as your defaults.
- View in 3D on the phone: rotate, zoom, tap a hole for its ID and length, plan, long and across views.
- Nothing goes into CAD until you tap Draw in CAD… and Yes, draw. Holes land on their own layer and are read back and checked.
A geometry draft, not an approved drilling or firing plan. An engineer reviews and signs off the design as usual.

Chats, named by topic
Pip names each chat after its topic and starts a new one when you change the subject. Reopen earlier chats and Pip remembers what was said. Chats and screenshots are saved on your PC.
Teach Pip new tricks
Ask for something Pip can't do yet and it says so, then saves your request to a skill backlog. The backlog is worked through and the skill updated, so Pip can do it next time.

The Pip Skill Market
Skills developed by mining experts in every department, uploaded once and downloaded by teams anywhere. Each skill you add unlocks a new job for Pip, from exploration to production.
- Experts publish what they know: the design rules, the checks and the drawing.
- Geologists, engineers and planners add a skill, and Pip can do that job by voice, on the phone or in VR.
- Versions and change history on every skill, and private skills for your company's standards.
