how it works

Your PC, your phone, your account

Pip isn't a cloud service that holds your schedule. A small Pip server runs on your own Windows PC beside your design software, and your phone talks to it over your private network.

the pieces

Everything important stays on the planner's PC

Phone, headset or glasses

  • Pip appiPhone, Android, Meta Quest 3 or Even G2 glasses; or Pip on the CAD window and in a browser on the PC itself.

Planner's Windows PC

  • Pip serverNode.js. Chats, screenshots and designs are saved here.
  • Claude CodeSigned in with the planner's own Claude account.
  • Pip connectorPip's way into the schedule and CAD, on this PC only. Every command it offers is open to Pip.
  • Pip in CADThe add-in that puts Pip and its chat on your CAD window.
  • Your design softwareYour licensed CAD and scheduler, and the schedule you have open.

Claude

  • AnthropicUnderstands the question and decides which schedule figures to look up.

one question, start to finish

What happens when you ask

  1. You ask

Hold the button on your phone and speak. The words go to the Pip server on your PC over Tailscale.

  2. Pip looks it up

Claude, through your own sign-in, asks the Pip server for the figures it needs. The server reads them from your design software.

  3. Pip answers

A short spoken answer and figure cards come back to your phone. Pictures and designs too, when you ask for them.

  4. You decide

A proposed change waits for Apply… and Yes. Then it is written to the schedule and read back.

your data

Where the schedule goes

  • Each question sends the relevant schedule figures (week totals, task names, rates and field values) to Claude through your own Claude Code sign-in, as part of the conversation.
  • Nothing is sent to the Pip developer.
  • Chats, screenshots and drill designs are saved on your PC.
  • Skills can sync from your team's GitHub repository; Pip's own skill changes stay on your PC and are never pushed.
  • The phone reaches the PC only over your private Tailscale network. The connector stays on the PC and is never exposed to the network.

Check your company's policy on sending schedule data to Claude before using Pip with real production schedules.
