questions
Frequently asked
Which design software does Pip work with?
Pip connects to leading mine design and scheduling software through connectors, using your own licensed installation. Pip is independent; ask us whether your software is supported.
Who sees my schedule data?
The relevant figures for each question go to Claude through your own Claude sign-in, as part of the conversation. Nothing is sent to the Pip developer. Chats and screenshots are saved on your PC. Check your company's policy before using real production schedules.
Can Pip change my schedule without asking?
No. Every change is a proposal you confirm twice. Applied changes live in the open schedule until you save it; Pip never saves the schedule for you.
Do I need a Claude subscription?
Yes. Pip uses Claude Code on your PC, signed in with a Claude Pro or Max plan. If your company provides Claude through an API key or a gateway, Pip can use that instead.
Does it work on iPhone?
Yes. The Pip AI app for iPhone is in beta testing alongside the Android app.
Is there a VR version?
Yes: Pip VR for Meta Quest 3 is in preview. It shows the scheduled mine at table scale in mixed reality and talks to the same Pip server on your PC. More about Pip VR.
What is the Pip Skill Market?
Coming soon: a place where mining experts upload design skills and planners download them, so Pip can do more jobs. The stope drill design skill is included today. How the Skill Market works.
Is it ready for production planning?
Pip is beta software. Test it on a copy of a schedule. Drill designs are geometry drafts for an engineer to review, not approved drilling or firing plans.
